Zone Conference
December 7, 2011
Well this past week was a good one! we went down to Armenia and had
zone conference. Elder Schwitzer from the 70 came and spoke at it and
then after wards i got a one on one interview with him. that was way
cool!! he was actually brother brown's (the first missionary to serve in
georgia) mission president and he got a call from the Prophet to send
the best two missionaries from his mission to Georgia to open it up.
so Brother Brown (my teacher in the mtc) was the first one to go to
Georgia. so Elder Schwitzer has very deep love for georgia!! way cool!
well he came up to Georgia and spoke to the people. we had over 80
people show up!! that is more then we have at church in both branches
combined!!! crazy!
well this past week we did exchanges and me and elder Allen who came
in my group were together. we are both way new and we don't know a ton
of the language so it was hard but we did well. we went knocking on
doors so we would have to talk to people. we did better then we
thought we would. :) President Dunn heard what we did so know every
monday and tuesday me and elder Allen are together so we will learn
faster. i think he is trying to get us ready to train in march when we
have 3 new missionaries coming to Georgia.... crazy!!!! we will do
good!
well my investigators are well. they are progressing. we have one guy
who is a real thinker and we met with him this week and we had Garik a
member come with us and Garik pounded the gospel with him and our
investigator said he could feel something changing inside him and that
if someone can be so strong in the faith as Garik is then God must
have something to do with it. i was like "OH YAY!!!" that change is
the spirit touching you and testifying the truth to you" he is doing
way good!
well is has gotten way cold here this past week. like freezing lol but
i like the cold so it is way good.
i am doing so good and loving it here!! hope all is well with you and
you have a safe week!

MIracles happen
This week, Scott shares some miracles with us and we are thrilled to hear how much he loves it.
I am good here across the world! the work is good and progressing well. we had a baptism last week and we have another one this Nov. 28th. so great! this guy, Elguja, has been investigating the Church ever since it came to Georgia. 5 years!!! he is the caretaker of the church and knows it is true and comes to church more then some members but isn't baptized. well i have asked him ever since i got to Georgia. EVERDAY i ask him if he will be baptized. he jokingly replys "no problem". well this last week i asked him and he said "ya i will". then later he walked in to one of our lessons with one of our other investigators and sits down and says "i need to take the lessons if i am going to get baptized, start teaching me." so he is getting baptized finally next week!!! so exciting. my mom says i can be a real pain sometimes, well i guess it has paid off here lol well the work is coming along. we had rain the past week and a half. today is the first day in a long time i get to see the sun!! it is so beautiful lol well miracles are happening here. we had a old investigator from like a year ago call us asking us to come over and see her husband, who is a narcotic and hates the missionaries. he is the reason they were dropped. well we go over there and he is totally humble. he is trying to quit drugs and be a better man. he asked for a blessing and told us that his family and him would be at church every sunday and that he wanted us to teach him and to help him. WOW!!!! miracle!!! so cool. i have given 2 blessing this past week top help two different investigators get over problems and health. way cool experience!!
well the language is going well. i am understanding more and more all the time. the food is the best ever! i love it lol
well hope your doing good!

The first Fast Sunday in Georgia
He dressed up for Halloween... as a missionary :) haha Scott always has had a great sense of humor!
November 2, 2009
well where do i start...
Yesterday was my first fast sunday in Georgia. it was pretty cool listening to the few members we have that come to church. This past week has been raining like no other. I LOVE THE RAIN!!! when it rains here it really rains!! you have rivers going down the street and sidewalks and guess what... i am out in the middle of it walking around talking to the few people that are out there. my comp thinks i am crazy- i just tell him: 'what would jesus do?' Well we have 4 investigators currently. one his name is valodia. he is the smoker and he just can't stop. so i told him i was going to take them away and when he wanted to smoke to sing or recite his favorite scripture. so he is doing well. 2nd is Tarehle. he is great. he knows it is true and is coming along good. just got to get him to church more. 3rd is Ucha. he is the one that needs the most help because he has the most fear of all. he doesn't want to change because he thinks georgia is united by its religion and does not want to break down georgia by changing. it is hard thing to deal with here in this old country. 4th we have Natia, who came to us and asked us for a book of momron cuz she is looking for answers. she had a daughter who died last month who was 16 years old. she died from cancer. she tells us that her daughter was close to God and now she wants to know what will happen to her daughter and with herself. she is looking for the truth and i told her that we had it. so she is doing well.
well the work is good. the people are great and the best!!! this saturday will be one month in the counrty!! time flies! wow!
well they don't have halloween here in georgia but i celebrated i anyways. i was a MISSIONARY!! i looked way good!! lol
well that is it. it has been a way awesome week!!! i love it here!
