MIracles happen

This week, Scott shares some miracles with us and we are thrilled to hear how much he loves it.

I am good here across the world! the work is good and progressing well. we had a baptism last week and we have another one this Nov. 28th. so great! this guy, Elguja, has been investigating the Church ever since it came to Georgia. 5 years!!! he is the caretaker of the church and knows it is true and comes to church more then some members but isn't baptized. well i have asked him ever since i got to Georgia. EVERDAY i ask him if he will be baptized. he jokingly replys "no problem". well this last week i asked him and he said "ya i will". then later he walked in to one of our lessons with one of our other investigators and sits down and says "i need to take the lessons if i am going to get baptized, start teaching me." so he is getting baptized finally next week!!! so exciting. my mom says i can be a real pain sometimes, well i guess it has paid off here lol well the work is coming along. we had rain the past week and a half. today is the first day in a long time i get to see the sun!! it is so beautiful lol well miracles are happening here. we had a old investigator from like a year ago call us asking us to come over and see her husband, who is a narcotic and hates the missionaries. he is the reason they were dropped. well we go over there and he is totally humble. he is trying to quit drugs and be a better man. he asked for a blessing and told us that his family and him would be at church every sunday and that he wanted us to teach him and to help him. WOW!!!! miracle!!! so cool. i have given 2 blessing this past week top help two different investigators get over problems and health. way cool experience!!

well the language is going well. i am understanding more and more all the time. the food is the best ever! i love it lol

well hope your doing good!

We celebrate one month and a BAPTISM!

Can't believe he's been gone one month! Crazy how time crawls and flies at the same time, especially when you have a missionary in the field. Scottie is in wonderful spirits this week:

The first Fast Sunday in Georgia

He dressed up for Halloween... as a missionary :) haha Scott always has had a great sense of humor!

November 2, 2009

well where do i start...
Yesterday was my first fast sunday in Georgia. it was pretty cool listening to the few members we have that  come to church. This past week has been raining like no other. I LOVE THE RAIN!!! when it rains here it really rains!! you have rivers going down the street and sidewalks and guess what... i am out in the middle of it walking around talking to the few people that are out there. my comp thinks i am crazy- i just tell him: 'what would jesus do?' Well we have 4 investigators currently. one his name is valodia. he is the smoker and he just can't stop. so i told him i was going to take them away and when he wanted to smoke to sing or recite his favorite scripture. so he is doing well. 2nd is Tarehle. he is great. he knows it is true and is coming along good. just got to get him to church more. 3rd is Ucha. he is the one that needs the most help because he has the most fear of all. he doesn't want to change because he thinks georgia is united by its religion and does not want to break down georgia by changing. it is hard thing to deal with here in this old country. 4th we have Natia, who came to us and asked us for a book of momron cuz she is looking for answers. she had a daughter who died last month who was 16 years old. she died from cancer. she tells us that her daughter was close to God and now she wants to know what will happen to her daughter and with herself. she is looking for the truth and i told her that we had it. so she is doing well.

well the work is good. the people are great and the best!!! this saturday will be one month in the counrty!! time flies! wow!

well they don't have halloween here in georgia but i celebrated i anyways. i was a MISSIONARY!! i looked way good!! lol

well that is it. it has been a way awesome week!!! i love it here!

Week 2, Tbilisi

He sounded so good this week! Happy to finally be out of the MTC and out in the field. We love the energy he is tackling the challenges with- especially the language.

October 26, 2009

Oh man Tbilisi is great! My area is Vakitili which is the ghetto of tbilisi ha ha ha it is so far away from anything and it is the JW capital of georgia. Tthis weekend was Tbilisoba- the day Tbilisi was founded. it was a crazy weekend. Way cool experince! A huge party all over the city! Everyone from the tiny villages all over Gerogia came in and celebrated, it was way cool to watch. great food, georgian dancers, georgian music, thousands of people to talk to. it was great. the language is good. i don't know what people are saying to me still but i still talk to everyone. ha ha ha i am good and loving it here!
